Core Highways Wins Best Use of New Technology Award at Highways Awards

Being shortlisted in two categories was a fantastic achievement in itself, making this award win even more special. The project was recognised in the following categories:

The A382 Dynamic Diversion Routes scheme demonstrates how collaboration and innovation can be used to improve the way major highway works are managed. By bringing together digital modelling, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and real-time journey data, the project created a smarter approach to traffic management that delivers tangible benefits for both road users and project teams.

Using predictive modelling alongside live diversion route information, the scheme helped improve journey time reliability, reduce disruption for the travelling public, support safer project delivery and achieve measurable programme and carbon savings.
