The company has set ambitious net zero commitments structured around seven goals delivering short and long-term carbon savings. Working closely with customers and supply chain, embracing technology and driving operational efficiency has resulted in 17.6% savings on a revenue intensity basis to date. Core Highways is committed to decarbonising our operations and whilst our initial results are pleasing, we know we have a long road ahead of us to achieve Net Zero. Collaboration with our clients and supply chain, alongside adopting new innovations will be key to us becoming a Net Zero organisation.”

Core Highways has set seven goals to achieve Net Zero by 2040, including focusing on their Scope 3 emissions. The team have used data analytics to incentivise driver behaviour from their fleet telemetry, eliminated journeys by deploying digital sensors and, through early customer engagement, they have used traffic modelling capability to reduce carbon from motorised road users.
