We're delighted to share that last week we officially welcomed our first cohort of High-Speed Traffic Management Operative Apprentices into the Midlands region.

Please join us in welcoming:
Nottingham Depot: Lennon, Tawana, Marshall, Blessing, Darcy and Kacper
Nuneaton Depot: Jacob, Jaden, Hassan, Callum and Dylan

 

Core Highways Induction

Last Thursday the apprentices took part in their induction, which was delivered collaboratively by colleagues from across Core Highways alongside our training provider. The day was designed to give them a strong introduction to the business, our safety-first culture, their apprenticeship journey, and the knowledge, skills and technology that will support them in their roles.

A huge thank you to Ben Johnson, Louis Peedle and Keith Smith, who delivered some great sessions covering their areas of expertise and helped bring the programme to life for the group.

15-month development programme 

Our apprentices will now begin a structured 15-month development programme, with clear milestones, industry qualifications and pay progression points along the way. The programme has been designed to develop the skills and competence they need to build successful careers within Traffic Management and, importantly, to help us grow our future High-Speed capability from within.

It’s fantastic to see this programme move from planning into delivery and to welcome our first cohort into the business. We're looking forward to seeing how they develop over the coming months.
