What we offer
Consultation and Planning
We work hand-in-hand with our customers from the first conception stage of their projects to help plan safe and successful delivery.
We recognise the criticality of safety, budget management and programme certainty whether delivery traffic management to support critical highway and utility works, barrier and fencing schemes or your event.
Through early engagement, we ensure safer, faster, more cost-effective outcomes that meet all stakeholders’ needs.
Low Speed
This includes road narrows systems, low-speed lane closures, stop-and-go, temporary traffic lights, temporary pedestrian crossings, footway closures, road closures, and convoy systems all delivered, installed and maintained by our team of highly trained (NHSS 12D) traffic management professionals.
We also hold a large stock of many forms of temporary barriers, tower lights, VMS boards, and curb ramps and have the facility to manufacture bespoke signage in-house.
Our planning teams are experienced in identifying and managing the sensitive issues associated with low-speed works, whether in a rural or urban setting; we engage closely with local communities and all roadusers during the planning and delivery of our works. Our teams are trained to the new NHSS Sector Scheme 12 Gate Person Airlock Installer/Operator helping to keep your workforce safe and your customers informed.
High Speed
This includes hard shoulder closures, high-speed lane closures, contra-flow systems, and full closures on motorways for static layouts. All our depots have easy access to dedicated IPV crews and complete regular work on the strategic highways network in England and Wales. We are able to complement these systems with lighting for cross-overs, automated gates for hard- closures and welcome opportunities to collaborate on the SRN. Our dedicated high-speed schemes management team is always on hand to offer proactive, expert advice.
We are an approved contractor working directly for National Highways in England and the Welsh Trunk Road Agencies. We have extensive experience working across these strategic networks and the specific safety, compliance and customer expectations when working on high-speed roads.
Our highly skilled teams have NHSS 12 AB and 12C training and accreditation, as well as National Highways passports.
Equipment Hire
This includes providing a wide range of traffic lights, VMS (Variable Message Signs), water-filled barrier, temporary pedestrian barriers, traffic separators, road cones and road signs.
Specialist Services
We work with a number of carefully selected, approved and trusted partners across the UK to deliver a true “one-stop shop” for your roadworks needs. We are able to provide temporary and permanent road markings, temporary and permanent barrier, vehicle recovery, TASCAR, CCTV traffic and security monitoring, traffic modelling and traffic data collection.
We are also able to support your wider highway service including emergency response service, highway defect response service and winter / inclement weather service.
Framework Management
We have over 40 years experience of delivering through long-term frameworks and recognise the specific customer requirements inherent in these long-term relationships – including continual improvement, best value and being a trusted partner.
With over 50 live frameworks spanning the highway maintenance, highway civils, energy, telecoms and utility sectors we have unrivalled experience
In a number of our larger frameworks we have embedded Traffic Management Co-ordinators working within our clients’ teams, complimenting their service and managing this specialist activity. Our co-ordinators help you reduce roadspace occupation and increase efficiency.
Major Projects
We have a proud history of delivering some of the UK’s most critical infrastructure including highways projects valued at £0.6bn and five years in duration. We have an unrivalled experience in the safety critical nuclear sector where we are the sole traffic management to eDF Energy on their Hinkley C project in Somerset – the first nuclear power station to be constructed in the UK for 30 years and one of the largest construction projects in Europe.
Our dedicated Early Contractor Involvement Team can help contractors secure winning bids and plan your project for success. Our team includes experienced civil engineers who are able to work with you to optimise traffic management phasing linked to your construction programme.
Our award-winning Digital Care Initiative (DCI) can help make your projects safer and less carbon intensive whilst reducing costs and keeping your customers better informed.
